Saad Akbar, FCA
Head of Taxation | Financial Assets Management | Secretary to Funds
Saad Akbar is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA), with over 26 years of diversified experience in taxation, audit, and financial management.
He has been associated with the organization since 2013 and currently serves as Head of Taxation, where he is responsible for managing both direct and indirect tax matters. His role also includes oversight of provincial sales tax compliance, fixed assets management, and financial reporting processes.
In addition to his core responsibilities, he also serves as Secretary to the Provident and Gratuity Funds, where he manages fund operations, financial reporting, and audit coordination. He has played a key role in strengthening internal processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Saad has extensive experience in tax compliance and advisory, including handling withholding tax matters, coordinating with tax consultants, and supporting internal departments on taxation-related issues. His proactive approach has enabled the organization to maintain full compliance and avoid penalties or default surcharges.
During his career, he has also worked with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. in the Tax Division, along with experience in the mutual fund and corporate sectors, where he served in accounting and company secretarial roles.
He is recognized for his strong analytical skills, practical approach to problem-solving, and ability to manage complex taxation and financial matters effectively.
